[Imagem:\u00a0Michigan State University]<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pain\u00e9is solares transparentes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As c\u00e9lulas solares transparentes j\u00e1 est\u00e3o prontas para fazer a diferen\u00e7a na gera\u00e7\u00e3o de energia renov\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 o que defende uma equipe da Universidade do Estado de Michigan, nos EUA, que afirma que pain\u00e9is solares instalados em janelas e vidra\u00e7as, juntamente com os pain\u00e9is solares tradicionais, instalados nos telhados, podem virtualmente atender a toda a demanda de energia de um pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As c\u00e9lulas solares altamente transparentes representam a onda do futuro para novas aplica\u00e7\u00f5es solares. N\u00f3s analisamos o potencial delas e mostramos que, ao colher somente a luz invis\u00edvel, esses dispositivos podem fornecer um potencial de gera\u00e7\u00e3o de eletricidade semelhante ao dos pain\u00e9is solares dos telhados, oferecendo funcionalidades adicionais para aumentar a efici\u00eancia de edif\u00edcios, autom\u00f3veis e dispositivos m\u00f3veis,&#8221; confirma o professor Richard Lunt.<\/p>\n<p>O pesquisador se refere \u00e0s c\u00e9lulas solares de pel\u00edcula fina feitas de materiais pl\u00e1sticos &#8211; org\u00e2nicos &#8211; e que s\u00e3o capazes de capturar f\u00f3tons em comprimentos de onda acima ou abaixo da luz vis\u00edvel.<\/p>\n<p>Esses materiais podem ser ajustados para capturar os comprimentos de onda ultravioleta e infravermelho pr\u00f3ximo, por exemplo, convertendo em eletricidade essa energia que \u00e9 tipicamente desperdi\u00e7ada pelas c\u00e9lulas solares cristalinas de sil\u00edcio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mais lugares onde o Sol brilha<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Em termos de potencial gerador de eletricidade, a equipe calculou que h\u00e1 de 5 a 7 bilh\u00f5es de metros quadrados de superf\u00edcies envidra\u00e7adas apenas nos Estados Unidos. E, com tanto vidro para cobrir, as tecnologias solares transparentes t\u00eam o potencial de fornecer cerca de 40% da demanda de energia do pa\u00eds &#8211; mais ou menos o mesmo potencial que os pain\u00e9is solares de telhado.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A implanta\u00e7\u00e3o complementar de ambas as tecnologias poderia nos aproximar de 100% da nossa demanda se tamb\u00e9m melhorarmos o\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.inovacaotecnologica.com.br\/noticias\/noticia.php?artigo=armazenar-o-vento-tecnologias-merecem-levadas-serio&amp;id=010115151124\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">armazenamento de energia<\/a>,&#8221; disse Lunt.<\/p>\n<p>As c\u00e9lulas solares altamente transparentes est\u00e3o registrando efici\u00eancias de apenas cerca de 5%, enquanto os pain\u00e9is solares de sil\u00edcio normalmente t\u00eam de 15% a 18% de efici\u00eancia. Embora as tecnologias solares transparentes provavelmente nunca se tornem mais eficientes do que suas equivalentes opacas, elas contam com a vantagem de poderem ser aplicadas em muito mais \u00e1rea &#8211; n\u00e3o apenas nos telhados, mas tamb\u00e9m nas laterais inteiras de edif\u00edcios e casas, al\u00e9m dos ve\u00edculos e outros equipamentos.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As aplica\u00e7\u00f5es solares tradicionais t\u00eam sido pesquisadas ativamente por mais de cinco d\u00e9cadas, mas come\u00e7amos a trabalhar nessas c\u00e9lulas solares altamente transparentes h\u00e1 apenas cerca de cinco anos.
