Um servi\u00e7o ecossist\u00eamico relativamente n\u00e3o contabilizado da biodiversidade \u00e9 o benef\u00edcio para a sa\u00fade humana atrav\u00e9s da microbiota simbi\u00f3tica de nosso meio ambiente.<\/p>\n

Este benef\u00edcio ocorre porque os seres humanos evolu\u00edram ao lado de micr\u00f3bios e foram constantemente expostos a diversas microbiota.<\/p>\n

Plantas e animais, incluindo humanos, s\u00e3o organizados como hospedeiros com microbiota simbi\u00f3tica, cujo genoma coletivo e hist\u00f3ria de vida formam um \u00fanico holobionte.<\/p>\n

Como tal, existem interdepend\u00eancias entre biodiversidade, holobiontes e sa\u00fade p\u00fablica que nos levam a argumentar que os resultados da sa\u00fade humana poderiam ser melhorados aumentando o contato com a biodiversidade em um contexto urbano.<\/p>\n

Propomos que os humanos, como todos os holobiontes, provavelmente necessitem de um habitat microbiano diversificado para se apropriarem de recursos para viver uma vida longa e saud\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n

Discutimos como a urbaniza\u00e7\u00e3o industrial provavelmente perturba a simbiose entre a microbiota e seus hospedeiros, levando a resultados negativos na sa\u00fade.<\/p>\n

O habitat urbano industrializado \u00e9 pobre em biodiversidade macro e microbiana e desencoraja o contato com a microbiota ambiental ben\u00e9fica.<\/p>\n

Esses fatores de habitat, juntamente com dieta, antibi\u00f3ticos e outros, est\u00e3o associados \u00e0 epidemia de doen\u00e7as n\u00e3o transmiss\u00edveis nessas sociedades.<\/p>\n

Sugerimos que a restaura\u00e7\u00e3o da biodiversidade microbiana urbana e dos processos microecol\u00f3gicos por meio da recupera\u00e7\u00e3o do microbioma pode beneficiar a sa\u00fade holobionte e ajudar no tratamento da epidemia de doen\u00e7as n\u00e3o transmiss\u00edveis urbanas.<\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m disso, identificamos lacunas de pesquisa e algumas solu\u00e7\u00f5es para os obst\u00e1culos econ\u00f4micos e estrat\u00e9gicos na aplica\u00e7\u00e3o da reeduca\u00e7\u00e3o microbiana na vida urbana di\u00e1ria.<\/p>\n
