Evid\u00eancias de sat\u00e9lite e de campo revelaram que as savanas de areia branca est\u00e3o se expandindo onde a floresta foi destru\u00edda por inc\u00eandios. Muitas vezes esse ecossistema \u00e9 dominado por esp\u00e9cies tolerantes ao fogo e esp\u00e9cies invasoras.
